The efficacy of early intervention services is positively or negatively impacted by the degree to which caregivers are involved. In many instances, however, families are less than optimally engaged in the process, negatively impacting efficacy. This course is designed to address how clinicians may increase caregiver participation as well as present the challenges and solutions designed to foster maximal caregiver participation in early intervention services.

2. Describe common challenges that hinder caregiver participation in early intervention.
3. Implement strategies to enhance caregiver engagement and maximize their involvement in early intervention services.
